HOW OFTEN DO YOU THINK ABOUT WHAT HAPPENS TO YOU WHEN YOU DIE?

Or if you are like most people... death is not  something you think about?  Besides... it has its own rules by which it operates.

Well, let me share with you some good news... and perhaps not so good news? Your Soul is immortal.  That means it does not die, ever.  Now that's likely good news.  However, what one's Soul can incarnate into in its next birth... is part of the not so good news!

Were you aware that every living thing in the entire Creation has a Soul, exactly like your Soul?  Or that the only difference between Souls is one of evolution,  or  the amount of Consciousness a Soul has acquired? Or that every Soul is composed of "NSgy"?

*The energy of Existence, or God, is NSgy, or Neutral Spiritual Energy. And the energy of NSgy can only be known by one's Soul, when one's Soul is located in the region of NSgy, or in the Pure Spiritual Realm. And the Pure Spiritual Realm is unique in that ONLY Pure NSgy can exist in the Spiritual Realm.

The fact is... every living thing in the entire Creation has a Soul.  And every Soul is composed of the exact same substance [which is "NSgy"*], which has the exact same attributes, and has the exact same Purpose in Life as you do.  And that Purpose is to acquire knowledge of the Creation because the energy of Creation is a duality composed of two equal dimensions [they are called Yin and Yang],  and the Whole of Creation operates under the LAW of Karma, which was designed by God.  And the Creation is also composed of a number of dimensions, only one of which we can perceive by use of our physical senses.

#1 is the only part of Man that we can perceive by use of our physical senses. and #2,3 and 4 are all invisible to us.

And... none of the above are you required to understand, and a lack of understanding means that one remains in the cycle of birth and death until one awakens to what I have shared with the reader... who is fee to believe all this... or not?

And if you comprehend what I have shared, then you know as much about life as the great  Saints and Mystics can share with we human beings.  They try and explain all of this... and some of them do one additional [and crucial thing], which is to "Initiate" a Soul [which means provide a Spiritual ticket back Home to God]!  It only took me 50 years to discover this.  Now, isn't this an interesting thing to know?

Peace, 1 Brother James

And the above is the reason no Man, nor Woman has ever found God by use of  the brain or one's physical senses. Everything physical is part of the Illusion.

REGARDING THE TERM "MYSTICISM"...

mysticism

mĭs′tĭ-sĭz″əm

noun

  1. Belief in direct experience of transcendent reality or God, especially by means of contemplation and asceticism instead of rational thought.
  2. Such experience had by an individual. (as opposed to a door knob?)
  3. Belief in the existence of realities beyond perceptual or intellectual apprehension that are directly accessible by subjective experience.
The American Heritage® Dictionary of the English Language, 5th Edition.

What this definition is speaking of is the faculty of "Intuition," but without mentioning it.

When I read a dictionary definition, the left-hemisphere of my brain tends to feel like a clogged sinus... all stuffed up.  It is as though the writer is trying to avoid lending credence to those elements of Man that the brain can neither control nor perceive. The esoteric parts of Man.

Mysticism is the practice of using one's faculty of Intuition to receive bits of Knowledge provided by and stored "Within" one's Conscious Awareness.  The faculty of Man capable of this is one's "Intuition"... which is an aspect of one's Soul.

I use the phrase "Conscious Awareness" as another name for what philosophy refers to as the "Self".  For me, Conscious Awareness, or "C-Awar," is a part of one's Consciousness where bits of Truth are stored by one's Soul  as one's Soul slowly accumulates such bits of Truth by Completing Karma.  And when one is "ready" to awaken to a bit of Knowledge [Truth], one's faculty of Intuition picks up that bit of Truth stored in one's C-Awar (assuming one's faculty of Intuition is active), then one suddenly KNOWS something one did not Know previously... and one now views life a bit differently than prior to awakening to this bit of Intuition.  Another name for this process is "Enlightenment".

In the East, Enlightenment is neither denied, nor seen as peculiar, but is encouraged by almost everyone... since people are educated to the fact that Spiritual Enlightenment is a desired goal for every human being to pursue.  Therefore, the principles of Mysticism are not only well known, but children are encouraged to become members of religious sects.  But then, people in the East tend to believe in reincarnation and in God... by whatever name they call God, or means used to seek God.

The difference between East and West is, in actuality, a difference between how people view life?  The people in the East tend to view life as an Illusion, and Spirituality as Reality;  While in the West, people tend to view the Illusion as reality, and Spirituality as an Illusion.

How an individual views life depends upon the level of Consciousness a person's Soul has acquired?  And in the East, the study of Spirituality is called Mysticism.  And one of the best books regarding Mysticism or Spirituality is The Path of the Masters, by Julian Johnson: Available in most libraries.

Christianity, for the most part, rests upon the words contained in the Bible, and specifically upon various interpretations of the words used in the Bible.  The problem with doing this is that we do not know the level of Enlightenment possessed by those doing the interpretation?

Unfortunately,  Truth cannot be conveyed in words.  If it could be, then anyone reading the word TRUTH... would become enlightened upon reading the term TRUTH.  The word truth is an abstract word.  That is, the word truth is composed of letters forming the word truth... that we agree "stands for"  whatever TRUTH is.   But to actually experience a bit of Truth, one can only do so via one's faculty of Intuition... which must visit one's Conscious Awareness [an aspect of one's Soul] and by use of one's faculty of Intuition, awaken to the Energy of Truth.  But having done this, that person is unable to convey what he or she has just awakened to from "Within" him or herself.

The best one can do is to "hint" at some bit of Truth by using words that, if another is in possession of that particular bit of Truth, then the "hint" words can be used to awaken that bit of Truth from "Within" that person.  But, only if that person already possesses that bit of Truth.

No teacher, in other words, can convey bits of Truth to students.  If a teacher actually possesses  a bit of Truth, then those students who already possess that bit of Truth "Within" themselves will resonate to what that teacher is saying by using the  "hint" words the teacher is using to try and convey that bit of Truth.

Mysticism is the same as Truth.  No one can experience what the Mystic is talking about unless... that person has already awakened to a particular bit of Truth from "Within" him or herself.  Spiritual Truth cannot be "taught" in other words.  It can only be "caught" by those "Within" whom certain bits of Truth already exist. Awakening that which already exists "Within" people is what the Mystic is about.  Such Truth that is active "Within" the Mystic can subtly stimulate a bit of Truth that a person is "ready" to awaken to from "Within" him or herself.  But that bit of Truth must already be "Within" a person, and that bit of Truth must also be "ready" to be awakened to!

So, Mysticism is not a matter of teaching... it is rather a matter of awakening that which is already "Within" a person.  Therefore, many people heard Christ speak.  But few of those people awakened to the Mystical bits of Truth hidden "Within" (or behind) the words that Christ spoke.  "Many are called, but few are chosen" is another way of saying what I am talking about.

So, Mysticism is like a sign one can see, but what the sign stands for is not discernible by one's intellect.

A NEW BIT OF TRUTH REGARDING THE I-MIND...

While reading "Spiritual Gems" this morning, a book written by Maharaj Sawan Singh, published in 1965, I was apparently ready to awaken to a new bit of Truth from "Within" myself.

The "whole" of how a person's MIND works, or operates, is a most difficult thing to explain.  And it is difficult because there are so many levels or dimensions in which it operates [most of which are quite invisible to one's ordinary awareness].  Therefore, it simply takes a very long time for anyone to comprehend [or put cognitive words to] these subtle operations taking place at normally invisible levels.  Which is the reason I refer to the MIND as the I-MIND, with the "I" referring to the fact that the MIND and its operations are invisible to us.

I quote the passage that triggered a bit of awareness "Within" me this morning:

Man and the world are so constituted that there is always one thing or the other cropping up and demanding our attention.  Such things should be attended to,, but one should find time daily for the spiritual work. It should not be ignored.  If full time cannot be given, give as much as you can. Even five minutes would do. The spiritual work alone goes with us o our credit after death.  All other will be left behind.  The day that is gone will not come back again.  So with love and faith and perseverance, go ahead.

Where does "one thing or the other" come from?  These seemingly random thoughts are fed to one's brain by one's I-MIND.  I refer to such thoughts as "Delusional Thinking," or "D-Think".   And quite often one's I-MIND feeds a thought to one's brain that is entirely specious, or a thought that is entirely false.  And surprisingly... the only justification for the thought is based on some fear [hidden "Within" one's MIND], or a desire of one's I-MIND to cause one to experience confusion and conflict. The I-MIND strangely seems to enjoy causing a person pain.

Does this seem implausible to you?  I know it seems too bizarre to be true, but the Reality of Life is quite often very strange.  And the author of this book also said this:  "It is characteristic of the mind that it does not take the blame on itself but throws it on someone else and, if need be, on the Master, as well."  By "Master" the author is speaking of a person's Spiritual Master, or teacher.

The point of this blog is to try and explain a part of the I-MIND that most people do not know.  Including some subtle aspects of the I-MIND and how it works... that were stimulated "Within" me this morning by what I read.  The fact is, the I-MIND [although it is entirely invisible to us] is a major contributor to what one thinks, believes, and how one relates to life [both what we know of life, and what we do not know of life].

My primary career in this life has been that of a Gestalt Psychotherapist. As a consequence of this, and my own need to study the Esoteric elements in life,  I have closely studied the operations of the I-MIND, and how it plays a major role in the operations of the Law of Karma. But that is not what this blog is about.  The author of the book I was reading said this:  "Under all circumstances, the fight against the mind should be continued. Mind is our enemy. It tries to throw us off by all sorts of things, on one pretense or another."

But... most people correctly ask... how does one fight something that is invisible to oneself?

And the only reasonable answer is...one can only attempt to do so.

Let us take a short trip into the I-MIND... despite the fact it is invisible.

One's I-MIND is not tangible, physical, nor even a part of one's physical body.  And yet it exists and it is attached to one's Soul, which is also quite invisible to oneself. One's I-MIND stores everything one experiences.  The good things and the bad things... and especially the bad things.  How come?  Bad involves punishment and requires the I-MIND to develop creative ways to punish us within the confines of the Law of Karma.  Returning good is boring... in comparison.

At the very core of Reality, we find this:  Every bit of Karma one's Soul can force the I-MIND to take responsibility for, and to forgive all involved in that bit of Karma... is converted back into Spiritual Energy that the Soul loaned the I-MIND to create the action in the first place.

This means that a good deed is simply returned to oneself as a bit of good.  But the return of some negative action involves the I-MIND and the I-MIND seeks to involve one's Soul in some negative action while preventing one's Soul from Acceptance or Forgiveness... by preventing one from realizing that the present negative action is simply some past action being "returned" to oneself.  That is, a past negative action taken by one's I-MIND at some time in the past.  This part of the Karma is withheld by one's I-MIND.  Not very helpful to one's Soul, is it?

In this way, one's I-MIND keeps adding negative actions, and responses to one's store of Karma.  The net result is... in each life we live, we create more negative Karma than we can convert in that lifetime.  And what is responsible for this?  Why, it's one's I-MIND.  Why would one's I-MIND do this?

What keeps every Soul trapped in the Illusion of Life is... the Karmic debt one's Soul owes.  And the I-MIND is responsible for preventing one from "seeing" that each bit of Karma one faces, is simply the Yin and Yang of the Law of Karma... which one's I-MIND prevents one from realizing that every bit of Yang Karma [the action part] is... being returned to oneself as Yin Karma  [the reaction part].

The net result is... our pile of Karma continues to increase... as we are encouraged by our I-MIND to resist our Karmic debts, and to blame others for what is taking place.

Each of us can accept the above, or deny it, along with the Law of Karma.  My role is simply to try and point out the fact that this is taking place.

WHAT IS THE PURPOSE OF MEDITATION ? I mean really...

The answer to the question of "the purpose of" meditation may seem a bit strange for people in the West, but let's see if we can't make sense of the reason Meditation is so greatly valued in the East.

We begin with this [seemingly] simple question?  What is the Purpose of Meditation?  And the answer is... to withdraw one's "Attention" out of the physical body, and to re-focus it at the entrance to one's Astral body [you were aware that you have an Astral body, right]?

If you were not aware, don't feel bad, hardly anyone in the West knows this... because in the West, we don't deal with that which the brain is unable to perceive [which means we don't bother with the three-quarters of one's Whole... which are invisible to the brain].  Remember the sketch...

I use this sketch quite often because it depicts the whole of oneself.  That is, it shows the three-quarters of Man that are invisible to the brain: #2, 3, and 4.  We can see #1, and the brain "thinks" this is all there is to Man.  But we are much more!

Man, the Whole of Man, consists of four separate dimensions, only one of which is physical, that one's brain and physical senses can see. This means that three-quarters of the Whole of oneself are Invisible!

And Invisible means composed of energies that exist beyond the range of one's physical senses, including one's brain.  In the above sketch this is illustrated as #4, the Soul and Spiritual Realm or dimension.

Located in the area of the forehead, between the two eyes... but not  being there physically... is the access "door" that we are told to "Knock" upon, and it shall be opened to us from "inside".  Well, "knock" refers to Meditation.  Meditation is simply knocking at an invisible doorway, that doesn't exist physically... so how does one find it?

Fortunately, that doorway operates automatically, and that gets into a discussion that goes beyond the point of this blog.  This blog is simply to say that the purpose of meditation is to knock upon a Spiritual doorway... which is invisible, and located in one's forehead.  And the question is "why do this"?

Well, Man is composed of several dimensions, other than the obvious physical one.  Each of us is built exactly the same, and the only difference between each of us is the level and nature of ones Consciousness?  And another phrase for Consciousness is Spiritual Knowledge.  And Spiritual Knowledge is the result of Completing Karma... and Karma is a process of action, and the return of that exact same action.  The symbol for Karma is this:

And this is the symbol for Yin and Yang.  Yang is the male out-going action, and Yin is that same action being taken against oneself.  The duality of life in the Creation, in other words.  Sadly, in the West, we ignore Karma, and we tend to "THINK" of events as "accidents" or the fault of someone other than ourselves.  And by doing this, we just keep loading more and more Karmic obligations upon ourselves.  I often use this symbol as a reminder:

Each lifetime means more Karma.  Until one learns how to begin to reduce the load of Karma by the use of Meditation.

Meditation is literally a means by which a person can seek forgiveness for one's actions... if one is engaged in the "proper" kind of meditation? And "proper" simply means a special kind of meditation whose purpose is expressly to dissociate oneself from one's store of Karma, held "Within" one's I-MIND.

And... to suggest that Meditation is capable of accomplishing this is, of course, suggesting that Meditation is a great deal more than what most people "think" it is.  And this discussion is...of necessity, moving us into a dialogue of the invisible dimensions of Man, and the most peculiar nature of discovering how one can "forgive" oneself? ...which is well beyond the purpose of this blog.  How about a blog about self-forgiveness?  Now that would be a challenge!

EXPLAINING THE MYSTERY OF MYSTICISM...

What makes Mysticism so mysterious and difficult to comprehend?

Well, for me, the  mystery of Mysticism was resolved almost two decades ago.  Although at the time, I was unaware that what I Intuited one evening would turn out to be the solution of  the mystery of Mysticism.   And this began by my writing down three terms:  "Neutral," "Spiritual," and "Energy".

Between 15 and 20 years ago, I happened upon the terms "Neutral, Spiritual, and Energy," while doodling on a piece of paper one evening.  That is, I was doodling, or just drawing random images on a piece of paper, while my MIND was running through a number of elements I had been working on for quite some time.

At that point in time, I was attempting to complete a more precise understanding of the Mystical elements that comprise the invisible aspects of Psychology, since these elements  seemed to be "invisible" to Man.   I had been working on the problem of a Psychology for the Whole Human Being,  for a very long time.  By "Whole," I mean both the physical part of Man and  the Invisible parts of Man.  This sketch illustrates what I was searching for at that time:

#1 is the physical body of Man, including the physical brain. #2, and #3 represent the "I-MIND" of Man (the "I" reminds us that the MIND is invisible to #1.  And #4 is the Spiritual Dimension of Man, and #4 also includes the Soul.  And my view of Psychology includes all of these dimensions.  One part physical, and thee parts Invisible.

I believe what we know as "Intuition" is a faculty of the Soul, and I also believe "Intuition" is unique in Man, because  it is the only part of Man that can experience all four dimensions of Man.  But what makes this particular bit of Intuition special... was that it identified the Energy of the Soul as "Neutral"!  What do you know that is "Neutral"?

I began a casual search for something that was "Neutral".  Guess what?  I have never found any part of the physical dimension that is Neutral! So, what makes the Spiritual in Man so difficult to deal with is that it is entirely Invisible to the brain and one's physical senses.  And this goes for the I-MIND as well.  I refer to this Invisible Energy of the Soul as "NSgy".

No wonder the oxymoron "behavioral psychology" [presented  by B.F. Skinner], has been trying to get rid of all reference to the MIND of Man since the early 1900s.  That's what's wrong with modern psychology.

Well, Skinner was entirely wrong, but he had a great many people who, like himself, were given to Intellectualism... (denial of the MIND while confined to the brain and thinking],  and thus unaware of how frightened they were of what was hidden "Within" the "I-MIND" of each person.

In the West, we are not taught about the three-quarters of the Whole of Man that are Invisible to the brain of Man. But denial does not make that three-quarters of oneself go away.

So, the mystery of Mysticism is simply a natural denial of that which is Invisible to oneself.  In other words, to discover the Mystical parts of oneself, one must learn how to do so.  And that is not an easy thing to accomplish.  It is also a bit scary.  But it is ultimately necessary if one wants to deal with Reality!

TWO IMPORTANT REASONS FOR A FIRM BELIEF IN GOD...

 1.  Perhaps the greatest reason for a firm belief in God is that of immortality of the Soul... which exists, whether you believe in God or not.   That is, regardless how awful one is in a particular lifetime [and that must be paid for, and will be paid for via the Law of Karma], one can be assured that one's Soul will survive anything one experiences.  How do I know this?  Because it is part of the Purpose of Life that we Souls fully explore and experience this Creation.  And to do this requires a great many lifetimes.

2.  And the second reason for a firm belief in God is that without such a belief, a Soul cannot make contact with the Mystical process that enables one's Soul to exit the Creation.  And this requirement applies to every Soul, and I am not talking about simply being religious.  There is an old saying that applies to this point.  The saying is this:  "When the Chela [student] is "ready," the Master appears".

For these two reasons, every Soul should be thankful to God for making the above part of the experience of every Soul.  We are all slowly evolving over time.

Regarding this being "ready"...  one might ask oneself this question:  Would I want to return Home to the Father, God, and be introduced to the greatest people of history... and, report that my greatest accomplishment was to knock old ladies down and steal their purses?    My point is that most people are simply not "ready" to return Home to God.  Preparation for one's return is not an easy thing to achieve... and most Souls are struggling just to be born as a human being.  Life is far more complicated than what one can imagine.

Parents... is your child's level of Consciousness and intelligence determined by you ?

In other words...  is a child a reflection of the parents of that child?  And does your child therefore simply reflect the heritage of the parents?

Secondly, is it possible that your child is substantially more enlightened that either parent?  That is, possess a more advanced MIND, and level of Consciousness than either parent?  And if the answer is yes, how is this possible?  Isn't a child simply a mix of the developmental levels of the parents of that child? That is, are a child's intelligence, Consciousness, and Knowledge not simply "inherited" from the parents?

Finally, what is the impact upon a child if that child is born to parents whose level of Consciousness and mental development are considerably less than that of the child?  And, how is this even possible?  Does not a child merely reflect the development of its parents?

The above comments and questions all revolve around the terms and concepts of Reincarnation,  Immortality of the Soul, and what happens to the Soul at the time of death?  And if you know all these things, then there is no point to you reading this blog.  However, if you do not know the answers to these things, then you might be interested in this blog?

The fact is... the Soul is immortal.  And every Soul is pure Spiritual Energy, which is the same Energy as that of God [which I refer to as Neutral Spiritual Energy], or "NSgy".   The Creation was "created," and it was created (the Mystics tell us)  by God projecting a stepped-down Spiritual Energy until it eventually  became physical matter.  And we refer to this last form of energy as the Physical Universe, which includes the Earth.

There are five dimensions to Existence. #1,2,3, are invisible to #4, and #5.  #4 is the Physical Universe, and #5 is the Earth.  And #1,2,3 are all invisible to [exist in realms whose vibrations are invisible to Man].

Now if you couple the fact that most people do not know the above, and that the Soul "Within" Man is not actually a part of the physical Man... the idea of Reincarnation is just another  fact most people in the West have not studied.  So, it is not surprising that people in the West are not familiar with the Law of Karma, which is the primary Law of Creation designed by God.

Every living thing has a Soul.  And the Purpose of Life is for each Soul to explore and experience the Creation until a Soul acquires a sufficient level of Consciousness that enables that Soul to "Spiritually" request that God help the Soul find its way back Home.  Not every Soul is "ready" to leave the Creation... because only Souls in the human form can do so.   And, every living thing has a Soul... even bugs and vegetables have Souls.

The evolution of one's Soul is a very long and quite involved process, and it takes many lifetimes to reach the level of Consciousness wherein a Soul desires to return Home... rather than to become rich and famous.

So, Reincarnation is part of a child's birth, but it is an important part!  And the reason a child may be very different from its parents is that somehow the parents "owe" that Soul a birth, but that Soul may not inherent anything of significance from those parents.  This is how a child of very humble, even uneducated parents, can be a genius.  Each Soul is quite independent, and it is the accumulated level of Consciousness in a Soul that determines who that person is, and the Fate Karma of that Soul that determines what that Soul will do and be in life?

This blog provides quite a lot to ponder, does it not?
