HOW COME PEOPLE ARE SO DIFFERENT?

The principle reason is... each of us has lived a great many different lifetimes that naturally condition how we impact and respond to this lifetime.  However... unless you are raised in the East, you may not be aware of the concept of Reincarnation?  Or the concept that the Soul is immortal, and that we Souls have as many lifetimes as we require to fulfill the "Purpose of Life"... which is to play let's pretend in the garden of Life until one's Soul becomes completely satiated with what the Creation has to offer!

And it is not at all surprising if the reader is not familiar with what I have just written.  In the West, we are raised to believe that the Soul only has one life to live.

Whereas, in Reality, we have as many lifetimes as we want or need to experience in order to fulfill whatever desires we can imagine exploring.   We have an unlimited time frame in which to explore and experience what the Creation has to offer us.   But  the design of the Creation is such that the Reality of Life is really well hidden.

In addition, there is the Law of Karma, which was designed by God, and whose definition is this:  "As you sow, so shall you reap".  So, everyone of us alive today has been in the Creation since it began... some say 43 million years ago. Are you tired of playing in the Creation yet?  If not, there's a great many things left to explore. And  the cycle of four more Ages  [which will begin at the close of Armageddon],  beginning with the Golden Age, then the Silver Age, then the Copper Age, and finally another Iron Age.

For me, and speaking personally, of course... I am quite ready to leave the Creation.

There is a point, for every Soul, I believe... in which the wonder of life... begins to change, and instead of one focusing on the many wonderful things one has not as yet experienced, one begins to notice poverty, crime, violence, hatred, and other seemingly natural aspects and miseries of life.  That which allows one to "see" [and to feel] the pain and suffering of others is called empathy.  And empathy is the natural result of having experienced pain and suffering oneself.. in who knows how many lifetimes?

So, on that  note, let me close with the popular saying:  Have a nice day!

WHY SHOULD WE BE MORE FORGIVING ?

Believe it or not... the reason is strictly self-serving!

The fact is, in the West, we are largely uneducated in the principle Law of Life, which is the Law of Karma.  The Law of Karma was designed by God [so it is an absolute Law], and it applies to everything in the Creation... which means we Souls.

The basic definition of the Law of Karma is this:  "As you sow, so shall you reap!"  In other words, for every action you take, that same action will be taken against you!   ... if not in this life, then in some future life... and yes, your Soul is immortal, and Reincarnation is a fact, not a theory.

Every living thing in the Creation has a Soul.  It is the Soul within every living thing that sustains the life of whatever physical form a Soul is in presently.  And not only is Reincarnation a fact, but Transmigration is also a fact, and Transmigration is the name for when a Soul acts like an animal... rather than a human being... and that Soul must spend time  as an animal to insure that it no longer needs to act like an animal!

What makes the Law of Karma so unusual is that it is based on an absolute sense of fairness and justice!  And no Soul eludes this Law.

So, when Christ said to give your coat to someone who asks you for your coat, but in addition... give that person another coat [just in case you might owe that person two coats]!  Christ was speaking of the Law of Karma, in other words.

That is one aspect of this blog.  The other aspect is that the Law of Karma is administered by one's I-MIND, and all the Karma you owe is known by your I-MIND.  And each of us comes into this lifetime with a "Fate Karma" that is based on trying to clear a portion of the Karma that we owe. The problem with this arrangement is... we tend to create more Karma in a lifetime than we can work through. The result, of course, is that at the end of each lifetime, we wind up with increasing our burden of Karma rather than reducing it!

What does that have to do with being more "forgiving"?  Well, what causes Karma is emotional energy being turned into physical action of some kind... including "anger," or "resentment," or "holding a grudge".

And forgiveness is literally forgiving a person's actions against oneself, or a person's words spoken against oneself.  And to forgive... again we are told by Christ to "forgive"... because Christ knew that the result of not forgiving means creating a Karmic debt that one then has to pay in some way.  And "pay" means receive the same energy as we refuse to release from "Within" oneself!  Christ was simply trying to tell us that we are much better off by letting go of our anger or resentment than holding on to it, which automatically draws the same energy back to ourselves!

Over the last couple decades I have practiced this basic principle, and it really does work.  So, I share this with whomever is wise enough to "see" the wisdom of what Christ taught?  Remember, nothing happens to us that we do not have coming to us!  This is true, whether one believes it is true or not!

A NEW BIT OF TRUTH REGARDING THE I-MIND...

While reading "Spiritual Gems" this morning, a book written by Maharaj Sawan Singh, published in 1965, I was apparently ready to awaken to a new bit of Truth from "Within" myself.

The "whole" of how a person's MIND works, or operates, is a most difficult thing to explain.  And it is difficult because there are so many levels or dimensions in which it operates [most of which are quite invisible to one's ordinary awareness].  Therefore, it simply takes a very long time for anyone to comprehend [or put cognitive words to] these subtle operations taking place at normally invisible levels.  Which is the reason I refer to the MIND as the I-MIND, with the "I" referring to the fact that the MIND and its operations are invisible to us.

I quote the passage that triggered a bit of awareness "Within" me this morning:

Man and the world are so constituted that there is always one thing or the other cropping up and demanding our attention.  Such things should be attended to,, but one should find time daily for the spiritual work. It should not be ignored.  If full time cannot be given, give as much as you can. Even five minutes would do. The spiritual work alone goes with us o our credit after death.  All other will be left behind.  The day that is gone will not come back again.  So with love and faith and perseverance, go ahead.

Where does "one thing or the other" come from?  These seemingly random thoughts are fed to one's brain by one's I-MIND.  I refer to such thoughts as "Delusional Thinking," or "D-Think".   And quite often one's I-MIND feeds a thought to one's brain that is entirely specious, or a thought that is entirely false.  And surprisingly... the only justification for the thought is based on some fear [hidden "Within" one's MIND], or a desire of one's I-MIND to cause one to experience confusion and conflict. The I-MIND strangely seems to enjoy causing a person pain.

Does this seem implausible to you?  I know it seems too bizarre to be true, but the Reality of Life is quite often very strange.  And the author of this book also said this:  "It is characteristic of the mind that it does not take the blame on itself but throws it on someone else and, if need be, on the Master, as well."  By "Master" the author is speaking of a person's Spiritual Master, or teacher.

The point of this blog is to try and explain a part of the I-MIND that most people do not know.  Including some subtle aspects of the I-MIND and how it works... that were stimulated "Within" me this morning by what I read.  The fact is, the I-MIND [although it is entirely invisible to us] is a major contributor to what one thinks, believes, and how one relates to life [both what we know of life, and what we do not know of life].

My primary career in this life has been that of a Gestalt Psychotherapist. As a consequence of this, and my own need to study the Esoteric elements in life,  I have closely studied the operations of the I-MIND, and how it plays a major role in the operations of the Law of Karma. But that is not what this blog is about.  The author of the book I was reading said this:  "Under all circumstances, the fight against the mind should be continued. Mind is our enemy. It tries to throw us off by all sorts of things, on one pretense or another."

But... most people correctly ask... how does one fight something that is invisible to oneself?

And the only reasonable answer is...one can only attempt to do so.

Let us take a short trip into the I-MIND... despite the fact it is invisible.

One's I-MIND is not tangible, physical, nor even a part of one's physical body.  And yet it exists and it is attached to one's Soul, which is also quite invisible to oneself. One's I-MIND stores everything one experiences.  The good things and the bad things... and especially the bad things.  How come?  Bad involves punishment and requires the I-MIND to develop creative ways to punish us within the confines of the Law of Karma.  Returning good is boring... in comparison.

At the very core of Reality, we find this:  Every bit of Karma one's Soul can force the I-MIND to take responsibility for, and to forgive all involved in that bit of Karma... is converted back into Spiritual Energy that the Soul loaned the I-MIND to create the action in the first place.

This means that a good deed is simply returned to oneself as a bit of good.  But the return of some negative action involves the I-MIND and the I-MIND seeks to involve one's Soul in some negative action while preventing one's Soul from Acceptance or Forgiveness... by preventing one from realizing that the present negative action is simply some past action being "returned" to oneself.  That is, a past negative action taken by one's I-MIND at some time in the past.  This part of the Karma is withheld by one's I-MIND.  Not very helpful to one's Soul, is it?

In this way, one's I-MIND keeps adding negative actions, and responses to one's store of Karma.  The net result is... in each life we live, we create more negative Karma than we can convert in that lifetime.  And what is responsible for this?  Why, it's one's I-MIND.  Why would one's I-MIND do this?

What keeps every Soul trapped in the Illusion of Life is... the Karmic debt one's Soul owes.  And the I-MIND is responsible for preventing one from "seeing" that each bit of Karma one faces, is simply the Yin and Yang of the Law of Karma... which one's I-MIND prevents one from realizing that every bit of Yang Karma [the action part] is... being returned to oneself as Yin Karma  [the reaction part].

The net result is... our pile of Karma continues to increase... as we are encouraged by our I-MIND to resist our Karmic debts, and to blame others for what is taking place.

Each of us can accept the above, or deny it, along with the Law of Karma.  My role is simply to try and point out the fact that this is taking place.

WHAT IS THE PURPOSE OF MEDITATION ? I mean really...

The answer to the question of "the purpose of" meditation may seem a bit strange for people in the West, but let's see if we can't make sense of the reason Meditation is so greatly valued in the East.

We begin with this [seemingly] simple question?  What is the Purpose of Meditation?  And the answer is... to withdraw one's "Attention" out of the physical body, and to re-focus it at the entrance to one's Astral body [you were aware that you have an Astral body, right]?

If you were not aware, don't feel bad, hardly anyone in the West knows this... because in the West, we don't deal with that which the brain is unable to perceive [which means we don't bother with the three-quarters of one's Whole... which are invisible to the brain].  Remember the sketch...

I use this sketch quite often because it depicts the whole of oneself.  That is, it shows the three-quarters of Man that are invisible to the brain: #2, 3, and 4.  We can see #1, and the brain "thinks" this is all there is to Man.  But we are much more!

Man, the Whole of Man, consists of four separate dimensions, only one of which is physical, that one's brain and physical senses can see. This means that three-quarters of the Whole of oneself are Invisible!

And Invisible means composed of energies that exist beyond the range of one's physical senses, including one's brain.  In the above sketch this is illustrated as #4, the Soul and Spiritual Realm or dimension.

Located in the area of the forehead, between the two eyes... but not  being there physically... is the access "door" that we are told to "Knock" upon, and it shall be opened to us from "inside".  Well, "knock" refers to Meditation.  Meditation is simply knocking at an invisible doorway, that doesn't exist physically... so how does one find it?

Fortunately, that doorway operates automatically, and that gets into a discussion that goes beyond the point of this blog.  This blog is simply to say that the purpose of meditation is to knock upon a Spiritual doorway... which is invisible, and located in one's forehead.  And the question is "why do this"?

Well, Man is composed of several dimensions, other than the obvious physical one.  Each of us is built exactly the same, and the only difference between each of us is the level and nature of ones Consciousness?  And another phrase for Consciousness is Spiritual Knowledge.  And Spiritual Knowledge is the result of Completing Karma... and Karma is a process of action, and the return of that exact same action.  The symbol for Karma is this:

And this is the symbol for Yin and Yang.  Yang is the male out-going action, and Yin is that same action being taken against oneself.  The duality of life in the Creation, in other words.  Sadly, in the West, we ignore Karma, and we tend to "THINK" of events as "accidents" or the fault of someone other than ourselves.  And by doing this, we just keep loading more and more Karmic obligations upon ourselves.  I often use this symbol as a reminder:

Each lifetime means more Karma.  Until one learns how to begin to reduce the load of Karma by the use of Meditation.

Meditation is literally a means by which a person can seek forgiveness for one's actions... if one is engaged in the "proper" kind of meditation? And "proper" simply means a special kind of meditation whose purpose is expressly to dissociate oneself from one's store of Karma, held "Within" one's I-MIND.

And... to suggest that Meditation is capable of accomplishing this is, of course, suggesting that Meditation is a great deal more than what most people "think" it is.  And this discussion is...of necessity, moving us into a dialogue of the invisible dimensions of Man, and the most peculiar nature of discovering how one can "forgive" oneself? ...which is well beyond the purpose of this blog.  How about a blog about self-forgiveness?  Now that would be a challenge!

TWO IMPORTANT REASONS FOR A FIRM BELIEF IN GOD...

 1.  Perhaps the greatest reason for a firm belief in God is that of immortality of the Soul... which exists, whether you believe in God or not.   That is, regardless how awful one is in a particular lifetime [and that must be paid for, and will be paid for via the Law of Karma], one can be assured that one's Soul will survive anything one experiences.  How do I know this?  Because it is part of the Purpose of Life that we Souls fully explore and experience this Creation.  And to do this requires a great many lifetimes.

2.  And the second reason for a firm belief in God is that without such a belief, a Soul cannot make contact with the Mystical process that enables one's Soul to exit the Creation.  And this requirement applies to every Soul, and I am not talking about simply being religious.  There is an old saying that applies to this point.  The saying is this:  "When the Chela [student] is "ready," the Master appears".

For these two reasons, every Soul should be thankful to God for making the above part of the experience of every Soul.  We are all slowly evolving over time.

Regarding this being "ready"...  one might ask oneself this question:  Would I want to return Home to the Father, God, and be introduced to the greatest people of history... and, report that my greatest accomplishment was to knock old ladies down and steal their purses?    My point is that most people are simply not "ready" to return Home to God.  Preparation for one's return is not an easy thing to achieve... and most Souls are struggling just to be born as a human being.  Life is far more complicated than what one can imagine.

THE GOOD AND NOT SO GOOD ASPECTS OF THE OLYMPIC "GAMES"

The Good part of the Olympics is that personal growth, stamina, and self-worth are encouraged by competition.  The detrimental part of the Olympics is that personal growth, stamina, and self-worth are forgotten entirely... when the benefits of competition are merely a necessary process [financially deductible]  by which wealthy investors commercially  increase their insatiable appetite for money.  And the winners of the competition are then used to advertise products to earn even more money.  But "performing" for money tends to make one jaded towards life.  The glitz and tokens we see as desirable simply lead to even more desires [most of which are more harmful than beneficial to us].  That which drives people to seek physical desires is, strangely...  A desire of one's Soul... that is not obtainable by physical means.

The result of this is that the thousands of participants who hopefully benefited from the experience personally... are quickly forgotten, and they themselves fail to appreciate how the competition benefited their lives.  They forget because people, even their friends, routinely dismiss the beneficial aspects of living a life that resists the subtly damaging ways people sabotage their health... in order to "enjoy" the endless desires of life.

And what we are talking about is the "natural" way in which "life" casts all kinds of temptations before us, and if we do not have some "higher" goal before us that helps us avoid those things that are contrary to our best health and welfare... we naturally choose to indulge in those temptations.

The Reality of the Illusion which we believe is the only life there is... is that the nature of life is that "life" is slowly and subtly "sucked" out of us... as we age, gain weight, and the little things we indulged in... begin to manifest in various kinds of illness.  Overweight, or too thin, loss of hearing or sight, and a subtle loss of strength.  Then we begin the drug path.  A few to begin with, then more and more as more and more parts of ourselves begin to lose function.

There is absolutely no way around the fact that for every action we take, that action has an impact upon us that MUST MANIFEST ITSELF.  And quite often that manifestation is contrary to our good health.  This is the absolute nature of the Law of Karma, as it relentlessly works to fulfill our destiny for this lifetime.  But of course, a great many people in the West do not believe in the Law of Karma.

There are a great many things we in the West do not know, because we are not taught these things... because too few people ask themselves what the Purpose of Life is?  And that purpose is not to win some competition... which is merely one step up the Ladder of Life.

What is this illustration...  you might wonder?  Well, if you allow yourself to see a giant ladder, each of us in on that ladder, slowly climbing up the ladder "of life".  And we do this by Completing bits of Karma.  The purpose of life is to explore and experience the Creation.  The "goal" of this process is to eventually become tired of "playing" in the Creation.  But this takes a number of lifetimes before a Soul gets tired of coming and going [life and death].  And in the West, people are not normally told about the Purpose of Life.

TODAY... WE DISCUSS A NEW EPIPHANY... regarding the mystery of Mysticism and Creation

But first, what is an Epiphany?

A general definition of the word epiphany, and how it is most commonly used today, is "a sudden manifestation or perception of the essential nature or meaning of something, or an intuitive grasp of reality through a simple or striking event; an illuminating discovery, realization, or disclosure or a revealing scene or moment." The root word "reveal" is still apparent in this definition. God often uses such moments of illumination to bring people to the knowledge of Himself. This illumination, or epiphany, is one of the central aspects of Christianity, for without God's intervention, none of us would see the truth. This is clearly stated in Ephesians 2:8-9, which says, "For by grace you have been saved through faith. And this is not your own doing; it is the gift of God, not a result of works, so that no one may boast."

After meditation this morning, I was sitting in my favorite recliner chair in the living room "resting my eyes"... when I suddenly awakened to [Intuited] these words:  Good cannot go to evil but must leave goodness... [ in order to ] experience the Creation.  In other words... The Energy of the Soul can ONLY be NSgy, or Neutral Spiritual Energy (which can never be other than what it is)!  So, when you look into a mirror, what you are looking at is not who and what you are in Reality... but rather, you are looking at the physical body in which your Soul is existing in the Creation in this lifetime!  And what you see reflected in the mirror is, in actuality, a physical illusion sustained by the energy of your Soul being USED BY YOUR I-MIND as it is projecting an image of who you "think" yourself to be in a most elaborate Illusion we call life.  Again, the term Invisible is grossly misunderstood in the Creation!  "Invisible" simply means that hidden from our physical senses in the Creation... is a Reality that does not [actually CANNOT] be perceived in the Creation, because the vibration of NSgy is so very different from the vibrations of the Creation.  This is the reason we need the I-MIND as that which helps sustain the Illusion for us.

And no, there is no rational [intellectual] explanation for this, other than the words I have just shared with the reader... due to the vibrational differences between the Illusion [with its variations], and the Spiritual Energy of your Soul, which is NSgy, which is entirely and absolutely INVISIBLE TO ANY PART OF THE ILLUSION.

Goodness, or what we call Goodness is NSgy.  And NSgy is my symbol for the Energy of God, and the Energy of we Souls, which is Neutral Spiritual Energy.  And NSgy is the ENERGY of  Spirituality, which is the Energy of God... and NSgy is the ONLY Reality there is!  Believe it nor not... what we "think" is real in the Creation is or are elements of a fantastic Illusion which is not REAL!  Although to us, this illusion of Creation is the only reality we know... and the ONLY reality the brain will ever know, or has ever known.

The physical body in which your Soul exists [is empowered by] ...sustained by... your Soul, and operated by the I-MIND that is attached to your Soul.  And both your Soul and your I-MIND are invisible to your physical body and your physical senses.  Let us once again consider this little sketch:

#1 is what you can see and think about.  And the other three dimensions of yourself are invisible to your brain and its physical senses.  And we don't know this because...we are confined to use of the brain to "think" about all of this!

I created the following symbol some time ago...

And this symbol indicates what I have written thus far.  The Reality of existence is hidden "Within" us... as NSgy.  And the only part of NSgy we can awaken to is a low-level portion of Reality of the Soul we refer to as "Intuition".  Our faculty of Intuition is a part of one's Soul, and to be able to make use of one's Intuition, one's Soul must have acquired a substantial amount of "Consciousness"... which is what we have labeled 'Knowledge' ...which is Reality, or NSgy.  And once again, NSgy or Truth, or Reality, or God... cannot operate in the Illusion... as NSgy... because the only part of the Illusion that is capable of perceiving NSgy...  is a part of Reality that is specifically dedicated to relating to one's Soul and the  Illusion... under certain circumstances!  And that part is called "Intuition".

In the West, we do not teach children about Intuition, primarily because most teachers are Left-Hemisphere oriented individuals, and as such, they are confined to use of the brain and thinking about life [rather than experiencing the emotionality of life].  Emotion is the energy of the I-MIND.  And if one's Soul is relatively early in the experience of being a human being... then one's Soul has not had the time to acquire a great deal of Consciousness... which is the natural result of a Soul Completing Karma over lifetimes.  And for a Soul to possess a substantial amount of Intuition, that Soul will have to have acquired a substantial amount of Completed Karma [which we refer to as Knowledge or Enlightenment]!

So, the more Intuitive one is, the more Consciousness [Enlightenment] one's Soul has acquired.  And this is usually unknown to oneself... until one has been active in meditation over a relatively long time.  And how does one know this?  By things that one experiences that one has no answer for, except that one just seems to KNOW certain things!  Ultimately, the only way to acquire Truth [Reality] is by shifting the Attention aspect of one's Soul from being lost in the Illusion back to Reality.  And Mystics tell us the best way to do this is via a special meditation as given to a Soul by a Mystic or a Saint.

Two things everyone in the West should be interested in are Truth, and the concept that the Soul is immortal... If this is the case, then what is the purpose of that immortality?  Could it possibly be so that a Soul has as much time in the Illusion as it desires to acquire the Knowledge it is curious about... and only then does the Soul seek to KNOW what the Purpose of Life is?  Who would believe that he or she is unknowingly engaged in the Purpose of Life right now?

Peace, 1 Brother James

IS ANGER an aspect OF REALITY...? Or, is anger possible, and yet... not Real?

ANGER seems quite real to us, and it is a real part of the emotional energy of one's I-MIND... however, Anger is an emotional "reaction" of one's I-MIND, and one's I-MIND is operated entirely by a script that is based on one's Fate Karma for this lifetime.   And note please that I am differentiating between lower case "real," and another kind of Reality that is the same as Truth [capital "T" Truth].

In other words... who one "thinks" one is in this lifetime... [one's sense of self in this lifetime] is a belief fed to the Left-Hemisphere of one's brain by one's I-MIND... based on a psychological structure designed by one's I-MIND to "fit" the role one is playing in this lifetime only... and this is reinforced by both Christianity and what people in the West have been taught regarding a number of Spiritual elements.   √

That is, in the West, we [many people] avoid taking Eastern Mysticism seriously because it is substantially different than how the Bible has been interpreted in the West... beginning in the Fifth Century A.D.  The primary difference between East and West in this regard can be boiled down to a number of words... and a clear understanding of the term "immortal," and the Purpose of Life?

The words Christianity  ignores [or avoids] are Karma, Reincarnation, Transmigration, and the difference between the Soul of a person, and the physical body of a person?  In terms of the Soul, death, and the Purpose of Life, the West has missed the Reality of Life substantially.

One's Soul has as many lifetimes as it requires to complete its curiosity and need to "learn" about the Creation?  The Roles we play in life are all dedicated to fulfilling our desires for experiencing  the roles we play;  as Shakespeare noted in saying that we are all actors playing roles we have scripted for ourselves by our own interaction with the Law of Karma.

Therefore, what is stimulated in us that results in our getting angry is what we refer to as Ego, or one's false sense of self [which is a sense created by the I-MIND that is attached to one's Soul when we Souls initially entered the Creation.  Who and what we are, in Reality, is a Soul, which is composed of what I believe is Neutral Spiritual Energy, or NSgy.  And NSgy is the Energy of God, which is a state of Pure Neutral Energy.  That is, Truth, Reality, and never other than Neutral.

The concepts of good and evil are merely impulses that deviate from NSgy, and thus fall into an Illusion of existence comprised of a duality... which falls under the rule of the Law of Karma, or Yang and Yin.  Yang being male action energy  taken by one's I-MIND (which was attached to one's Soul upon its entering the Creation) and Yin being that same energy being returned to oneself so as to Complete the Yang and Yin of that particular bit of Karma.

Any bit of Karma that has not been neutralized is a bit of one's NSgy that is missing from one's Whole Soul, thus one is an incomplete Soul.  And thus, one is "unfit" to return HOME to God.

The Law of Karma is the primary Law of Creation, and it applies to all actions in the Creation.  But all such actions are not Real in an absolute sense because they only apply to the Illusion of the Creation.  Therefore, the operation of the Law of Karma is the duality required to sustain the Illusion of Creation.  And to leave the Creation, a Soul must be absolutely certain that it is "finished" with its exploration of the Creation.  And this is the primary role of the Law of Karma.

So, can one "be" angry?  No, because it is one's I-MIND that is experiencing the anger, and one's I-MIND is part of the Creation.  One's Soul is never not NSgy.  But, when the I-MIND that is attached to one's Soul believes itself to be angry, then one's Soul is still "controlled" by the I-MIND that is attached to one's Soul.

And the Purpose of Life is for a Soul to fully satiate its curiosity and its various attachments to the Illusion... before it can be considered "ready" to return Home to God.  Unfortunately, most Souls are so attached to the I-MIND that they do not realize who or what they are any more?  This then is the Real challenge in life.  And each Soul is, as mentioned yesterday with the Ladder of Life, unknowingly engaged in working through its various bits of Karma, as it tries to complete its Karmic obligations.

But not to worry... every Soul is being cared for completely.  That is the one thing every Soul can count on... even if one's Soul is unaware of this fact?

The Energy of your Soul is NSgy, which means the same Energy as that of God, and thus your Soul is immortal, Real, and ultimately intended to return Home to its Source.

I-MIND?  The "I" stands for Invisible, which means one's I-MIND is entirely invisible to one's brain and physical senses.

WHAT DID CHRIST MEAN WHEN HE SAID: "Before Abraham was born, I am!"

What Christ meant was explained when he is also quoted as saying:  "My Father and I are one."  And what Christ meant by saying that he was one with his Father is what all great Mystics mean when they say that God is "Within" every human being.

What actually causes death?  What we identify as "death," naturally occurs when a person's Soul leaves the body in which that Soul is existing. And the reason for this is simple enough to explain.  It is the Soul that provides "life" to the body in which it is present.  But to be precise... death is the natural result of a  Soul "cutting the silver cord" that is the attachment of that Soul to that body.  This action takes place at a level that is entirely mystical [Spiritual], which means this event is unseen by people, and thus... rarely discussed.

John 8:58
“Very truly I tell you,” Jesus answered, “before Abraham was born, I am!”

Or, put another way... what does exist in the Creation that is not directly sustained by God?  If you are tempted to say "nothing," even nothing in the Creation is sustained by God.  When you look at the night sky, particularly in a big city, what you quite often see is darkness, which is strangely the lights of the city being reflected by atmospheric moisture, which obscures the stars one can see in the night sky in the countryside beyond the lights of the city.  So, when one wants to see the stars at night in the city, one is quite often unable to do so.

The way Man views life is relative to the education of a person, which is one reason we all seem to be so different... at least as far as our physical senses can perceive.

When a Saint or Mystic says that God is "Within" every Soul, he or she is saying that it is God that sustains the existence of the Soul.  And this is true for every Soul in the Creation.  What makes it difficult for us to "see" this connection is that so much of the Reality of Life takes place at levels our physical senses simply cannot perceive.  Again, some people can accept this concept, and some people cannot accept this concept.  Of course, the more enlightened the Soul of a person is... the more likely that Soul will possess a level of Consciousness that enables a Soul to Intuit bits of Truth... which are always Spiritual in essence.

Think of one's Consciousness as being like a ladder.  And each of us is slowly climbing the ladder of Consciousness [Mystically located "Within" oneself], and each rung of that ladder requires one's Soul to acquire  bits of Truth.  And each  bit of Truth is the result of  Completing a bit of Karma.  The actual difference between people is the level of Consciousness of the Soul of a person.  All of we Souls are located somewhere on the Ladder of Life... slowly acquiring bits of Truth.

This is, of course an illustration of a most complex and important mechanism we call "Life". In fact everyone you know is somewhere on this ladder.  And each and every Soul is sustained by God.  And we all are struggling to reach the top, and step into Reality.

IF GOD IS LOVE [AS MYSTICS TELL US], AND GOD IS INSIDE US, HOW MANY PEOPLE LOVE THEMSELVES?

The reason I ask this question about loving oneself is that I can't help but notice how much anger, hostility, and even hatred people are exhibiting toward one another in the world today.  Do people not realize that hatred is generated "Within" oneself?  That is, to have hatred for another, one must have hatred "Within" oneself...which one then projects upon others almost as a "learned behavioral response"?  Or like we have been taught to do by parents and others.  I always thought that hate was due to fear of something.  Something unknown or unfamiliar to us, in other words.

A second question I am prompted to ask is how many people realize that the Soul is immortal?  That is, it does not die, along with one's physical body... at least this is what we are told by a great many people.   So, what happens to one's Soul...  if it does not die along with the physical body?  In the East, they say that the Soul is reincarnated into a new life form, based on a person's Karma?  Which brings up the question of what is Karma, or the Law of Karma?  How is it so many in the East seem to know about Karma, but in the West, we know almost nothing?

Finally, one last question is this:  I've been asking people since I was a little boy what the "Purpose of Life" is?  And, I have yet to receive a good answer to this question? And... based on my previous question... if one is born again based on one's previous lifetime, how come we don't remember this taking place, and what are we supposed to do in this new lifetime?

All these questions, it seems to me, are answered by the term "Reincarnation," if one accepts the premise of Reincarnation,  and the Law of Karma, which is, naturally based on the Law of Karma... which is largely ignored or discounted in the West, and yet, the rest of the world lives their lives based on the Law of Karma.

I hesitate to suggest a certain level of ignorance on the part of people in the West, but that seems to be present. In watching and listening to preachers, ministers, and others on television speak about religion, or the Bible, one cannot help but notice that the terms Karma, Reincarnation, and the Purpose of Life seem to be missing in what they are saying?  And, if a person only needs to act nice, and ask for forgiveness just before one dies, then that person will go to heaven and live there forever seems to be the gist of what people are saying on television.

Somehow, this message has always seemed a bit simplistic to me; that is, the idea that what one needs to say is:  "Jesus, forgive me my sins!", and one is fully forgiven by simply saying these words?  And then what, one goes to Heaven instead of Hell?  And one then stays there forever?  If this is the case, how is it that we don't know a great deal more about what Heaven is?  That is, as many people as have died in just my lifetime of 86 years, Heaven must be getting really crowded?  And the same goes for Hell as well.

I personally tend to believe in what people from the East are saying, and that the Law of Karma applies to every Soul on Earth.  And that the Law of Karma also controls who goes to heaven or to hell, and neither of these places are forever.  In other words, I do not believe that God went to the trouble of creating "Life," and then  would simply give Souls one choice for experiencing the entire Creation.   That is, a Soul that became a  criminal  then spends eternity in some lake of fire at the time of death.  With no chance for redemption?  Seems most unlikely to me, given that Mystics tell us continually that God is a God of Peace, Forgiveness, Tolerance, and Love.  One mistake equals eternity in Hell... sorry, don't buy it.

So, if you know someone who is filled with hate... have you noticed that he or she is a miserable person?  Hate is an emotion "Within" oneself.  It is not like a wrapper of a candy bar, and one gives that wrapper to someone... and in the wrapper you have put a substance called Hate.  If you hate, the emotion of hate is coming from you, and that bit of hate is from "Within" your own I-MIND [your own emotional content], that you are projecting it at some person, place or thing outside of yourself.  The origin of the Hate is from "Within" you, in other words.  This is no doubt a difficult reality to accept... but it is the only reality that applies.

Otherwise, you are investing some person with the ability to mysteriously place a body of Hateful emotion inside of you.  Sorry, that is not possible.  If you hate someone or some thing, that "Hateful emotion" is entirely "Within" you.  To be an honest person, a person really needs to "own" one's own emotions.

To blame one's own emotion on some other person... is to give that person an ability to mysteriously place that bit of Hate inside of you... and this is simply a denial of one's own emotions. It's a basic  bit of dishonesty.

Therefore, if you want God to forgive you, you must ask God for forgiveness.  And do not be a hypocrite about it.   Honestly ask for forgiveness, from your heart, and be willing to "pay" a "price" for that forgiveness.  The "price" is a bit of Karma, wherein you receive something of what you caused another to experience yourself. And that "price" is your "lesson" so that you resist doing the same thing again.  And this is not only "fair," it is also just. It is also "educational" and also serves the Purpose of Life.

That is what I have learned from "Within" myself over the last 86 years.

The LAW OF KARMA...What is it, and why is it?

One thing you will not hear most people who believe themselves to be spiritual, or inclined toward Spirituality say... is that God is Invisible to Man.

And the reason they do not say this is... they do not actually realize what Spiritual Energy is?   Although Man is unable to find the Soul, Truth, Reality, or Spirituality, it seems beyond most people to imagine that in the Illusion of Creation, that which is Spiritual, or composed of Spiritual Energy, does not actually exist in the Creation!

Let us picture this phenomenon, or at least try to do so:

The Creation is... first of all, Created.  It exists, but it exists as an Illusion that we "think" is real, because our physical bodies relate to the phenomena of the physical Universe, and specifically the Earth plane.  And of course I am speaking of the physical brain and our physical senses.

The Causal Region is the Higher MIND.  The Astral Region is the Lower MIND. And together, these two form what we refer to as the MIND of Man.  Both are Invisible to the brain and one's physical senses.  Our eyes can "see" the Physical Universe, and we can also see everything that is part of the physical plane.  But, the Soul, and the MIND of Man are both non-physical, thus they are Invisible to the brain of Man.

So, three-quarters of the Whole of Man are Invisible to the physical structure of Man. Therefore, to experience the Invisible, one must use that which is itself Invisible, and the only part of Man that can do this is one's faculty of Intuition, which is a faculty of one's Soul, which is Pure Spiritual Energy, thus Invisible to one's physical senses.

The above is little known in the West.  It is widely known in the East, but the influence of Christianity in the West has all but eliminated study or research into the Invisible dimensions of Man.  Therefore, those who rely entirely on the Bible tend to ignore "Spiritual Truth"... which cannot be perceived by one's brain, or one's thinking.  Spiritual Truth is spoken of in the Bible as either Spirit, or the Word.  And both of these are accepted as "unknown"... although, Man tends to "think" that somehow the Spiritual unknown can be known... if one prays hard enough.

If, by "hard enough" one means slowly withdrawing of one's Attention out of the body and into what Mystics refer to as the "eye center" [a Mystical spot in the center of the forehead which is a "doorway" into one's faculty of Intuition, which is a means by which one can awaken to bits of Truth, stored "Within" one's Conscious Awareness [which is, I believe, what Philosophy refers to as the "Self"].  That is, one can by spending a long time [years] slowly withdrawing one's Attention [an aspect of one's Soul] from focusing outside of oneself, to begin to actually  focus one's Attention "Within" oneself and tap into one's Astral body, where one can begin to pick up bits of Truth, which are also bits of Reality that one's Soul has acquired by Completing bits of Karma.  And this requires some explanation, does it not?

But first... let us play catch-up with the concept of the Law of Karma, as a concept.

The Pure Spiritual Dimension [the square of the earlier sketch] is the Whole of Existence.  This Existence is Pure Spiritual Energy, or what we refer to as God.  And what we think of as Creation is that part of Existence we can see and think about, which is the Physical Universe.  A small speck of which is the Earth.

The entire Creation is based on a duality the ancient mystics referred to as the symbol of Yin and Yang:  The definition of Karma is:  As you sow, so shall you reap.

Let us view the dark area as the Yang part, and the While area as the Yin part.  Yang refers to Male energy in the sense of it being an action, or out-going energy.  And the Yin part would then be the female energy, which is the emotional experience of receiving one's own Yang energy being returned to oneself.

The problem is... one's MIND tends to cause one to "think" that all Karma being returned to oneself are accidents taking place, and we view ourselves as "victims".

So, when Christ advised Man to "turn the other cheek" in the Bible, Christ was speaking of the Law of Karma in action, where the person seeking to strike one on the cheek... is merely returning the blow you gave the person now seeking to return the exact same experience for your own education!  Truly is it stated:  As you sow, so shall you reap.  This is the Law of Karma, and it is an absolute Law devised by God, and it is the principal Law of Creation.  In physics it is expressed in this way:  For every action there is an  opposite and equal reaction.  And this is Newton's third law.

At least it is not applied to the Law of Karma very often.

The Creation is based on a duality of good and evil, so to speak.  As we have just discussed, it involves an absolute law that Newton discovered, and it applies to everything in the Creation.  But for some reason, intellectuals are resistant to making a connection between Newton and the Law of Karma.  Perhaps because the Law of Karma takes the thinking about part and renders it moot?

In other words, most people do not realize that although Mystics tell us that God exists in every person... I have only heard one Mystic say that the Creation is an Illusion that seems real.  I view the Energy of God as "NSgy" or "Neutral Spiritual Energy".   And what do you know that is "Neutral"?

Over a number of years, or several decades, I have searched for something that is Neutral?  The only thing I have found  that is Neutral Spiritual Energy, or the Energy of God, and we Souls,  is Pure Spiritual Energy, or NSgy.

The Law of Karma is the primary Law of Creation, and with it, all of us can rest assured that every Soul will receive precisely the same treatment that Soul has given to others.  And fortunately, we cannot remember our Karma.  That's the reason we are always surprised when we experience events in our lives... which we always "think" are either accidents, or it's the other person's fault.

We Souls began our exploration of the Creation as NSgy, which means we were lacking the experience we possess today.  We had to "learn" good and evil by experiencing good and evil.  And only one's own Soul can determine when it has had enough... of the "good" life?

There appears to be two types of people in the world...

TWO TYPES ?  1.  Those who desire to be wealthy so that they can "control people" by use of their wealth as a means to do so.   And the second type are  those people  who love God and thank God for whatever "gifts" he has bestowed upon them... the use of which enables them to help others.

In the "East" [as opposed to the "West"], there are a great many people who are raised to believe in God, and to believe that it is God who is in charge of everything Man can do and know.   In the West, people who live in the East are often thought of as uneducated,  backward, and not as "advanced" as people in the West.  And part of what causes people in the West to believe this is a term called "Ego".  The common characteristics of  Ego are pride, ignorance, and vanity (and vanity is a natural  result of a person whose only belief in God is "intellectual"),  that is, someone who "thinks" that there is a God because others have told this person that  God does exist, and that God has a Son, called Jesus.  So the intellectual in the West,  who is religious, "thinks" that the religion of Christianity is true... because so many people believe it is true.

What "proof" do they give for this belief?  Well, the shear fact that so many people believe in the religion of Christianity is certainly sufficient to demonstrate the validity of the religion, and thus they are convinced.  The problem of "proof"  still remains for those who are 'hard core' realists, however.  And they tend to be "fence sitters," or people who are no "sure" one way or the other?

The great benefit of an intellectual belief in God is that a "belief" held "Within" one's brain is "relative".  That is, it can be strongly held, as long as it does not interfere in one's enjoyment of life?  If one's belief interferes with what one desires to do, then one's I-MIND can feed Delusional Thinking to the Left-Hemisphere of one's brain which causes one's brain  to "Think" that what one desires to do is an exception to what one intellectually believes to be true.  Rationalization and justification is a common way of life in the West, and it is based on the "malady of Intellectualism," which refers to the natural overriding of one's brain by one's I-MIND.

So, the more intellectual a person is [quite commonly], the more that person is like a weather-vane.  That is, capable of shifting his or her beliefs depending upon which way the wind blows?  And being able to shift one's beliefs to accommodate what is beneficial to oneself is thought of as a good thing in the West.  This is, of course a subtle form of lying [at least to oneself]  but then... when no one actually Knows what the Truth is, who is going to call one on one's lies?

so, which type person are you?  One who refuses to alter one's Truths, because to do so is dishonest.  Or are you someone who chooses the truth that is popular at the moment?  It is quite difficult to live an honest life, unless one is "bright" enough to deftly sidestep direct answers that support dishonest statements.  But to do this one must Know the Truth... which is the basic problem, isn't it?

The Tragedy of... "Hope Springs Eternal"

The idea of "Hope Springs Eternal" has a positive ring to it... however, it is unfortunately based on a flawed premise.  One can certainly "hope" for a better future, and many do so.  However...one's hope has precious little to do with what one hopes for!   The future of everyone is entirely based on what each one DOES... not on what one "hopes" for.   All of mankind is subject to the "duality" of life, which is captured quite nicely in the definition of the Law  of Karma:

"As you sow, so shall you reap"!   Which is the definition of the Law of Karma, which is the primary Law Of Creation, which was designed by God, and this Law is simply explained like this:  Whatever you say or do will come back to you at some point,  in some lifetime, and you will be on the receiving end of an exact reproduction of the exact same thing that you did to another person.   And the Law of Karma is an absolute Law that applies to every living thing in the Creation.  And there are no exceptions to this universal law.

So, if you include everything you do as part of what you hope the future will hold for yourself... you are spot on in what you wish for!  Somehow I doubt that this is what we human beings are wishing to happen when we express a hope that the future will be better than one's past!

We can "hope" for a better life, but the wise person will expect the future to be pretty much like one's past... since much of what we do in life is not kind, loving, caring, nor compassionate.  And the one thing we can count on for sure is that what we have done to others will certainly be done to us!  As you sow, so shall you reap.  And there are no exceptions to this, and this law can only  be "paid for" [or Completed]... by "Acceptance" of full responsibility for what happens to oneself in life, and "Forgiveness" of everyone involved in what happens to oneself in this lifetime.

The problem is... to "Complete" a bit of Karma is one of the most difficult things in life for us to do.  And the reason for this difficulty is that to "Complete" a bit of Karma one must [take responsibility for what is taking place, and one must Forgive the person or people involved is what seems to be either an accident, or clearly someone else's fault].  The Law of Karma is a most insidiously subtle operation that causes us to believe that we are always a victim.

But, until you take full responsibility for a bit of Karma, and Forgive entirely all people involved in that bit of Karma, the natural thing to do is to blame others for what is taking place.  And what this does is to send that bit of Karma around again, and in some future lifetime it will come back to oneself.  And guess what happens the next time?  So, Mystics tell us that in each lifetime we live, we create much more Karma than we can possibly "Complete" in that lifetime!

The result is... we acquire more and more Karma.

YOUR I-MIND AND THE "LAW OF KARMA"...

Talk about things that are too strange to believe... and you have your I-MIND and the primary law of Creation, designed by God, which is known in the East as the "Law of Karma".  In the West, there are people who believe that because the Law of Karma is not mentioned [as the Law of Karma] in the Bible, then there must not be a Law of Karma.  Such people are gravely mistaken, but then, they will eventually discover this for themselves.

The most surprising aspect of the Law of Karma that I have discovered over the last fifty years is that no one experiences any negative energy [negative action directed against oneself] that isn't "DUE" oneself... in response to  some negative action you took against another person in some past lifetime.  In other words, the Law states:  "As you sow, so shall you reap"!  So, first you engage in some negative action against another person, and only then will that same action be taken against yourself.

The Law of Karma is a Perfect Law.  It is Perfect in that an action is taken against oneself only  in response to you having taken the exact same action against another person.... in some lifetime.  And yes, we Souls have numerous lifetimes, and not all of them as human beings, by the way.  If,  in some lifetime  you act more like an animal than a human being, then you may be born in your next lifetime as an animal, and such a birth is referred to as "Transmigration" of one's Soul.  That is, being born in a lower life-form in order to "satisfy" some animalistic characteristics that you obviously had not completed before being born as a human being.

Again, the Law of Karma is a Perfect Law.  And it was designed specifically so that each of us receives only what we deserve... because we have earned it!  If you are mean to one or more people in some lifetime, then expect to be mistreated in this or some other lifetime... in precise response to what you did to one or more people!

And too, if you are kind to people in a lifetime, expect that people will be kind to you in this lifetime.  Again, as we Sow, so shall we Reap!  It's the Law.  If for example you were generous in your last lifetime, expect that you will be treated generously in this  lifetime.   In all respects what we receive in this lifetime is what we have "earned" in one or more previous lifetimes.   What could be more FAIR than that?

Now, how does your I-MIND set you up for the receipt of your Fate Karma for this lifetime?  One's  I-MIND makes sure that one attends to the Fate Karma one came into this lifetime to experience.  And this is true for every single person.  It does this by feeding what I refer to as Delusional Thinking [or D-Think] to the Left-Hemisphere of your brain.  And your brain "thinks" it is the source of your thoughts, so of course your brain automatically engages in what your thoughts encourage you to do;  or act; or desire, etc. ... at the same time, someone with whom you have Karma will receive from his or her own I-MIND Delusional Thinking that makes sure that he or she is where the two of you will play-out the Karma the two of you are supposed to engage in.  And you will call it an "accident," or whatever term "fits"  the situation.

And... regarding this event... if it is negative, and you are angered by what happens, and you are unable to "Forgive" the person [with whom you had the Karma], then that event is not cleared... but will come around again, and again... until you finally Forgive the person that bit of Karma.  This is a part of the Law of Karma.  And it is an important part of the Law.  And in the Bible, Christ mentioned it by telling people that they should "Forgive  others"!

Each of us has an invisible load of Karma that we are obligated to Completing! We carry this load from lifetime to lifetime... until it is removed by oneself Accepting responsibility for  the Karma, and by Forgiving entirely the person who is returning one's own Karma back to oneself!  Remember... your Soul is composed of NSgy, and every bit of Karma that one has not taken care of...  is a bit of one's own Spiritual Energy that is held by the Law of Karma and the Creation, until one finds  a way to force one's I-MIND to assume responsibility for causing the bit of Karma in the first place, and one's I-MIND must also Forgive the person returning one's own Karma.

What did Christ say about forgiveness?  In the Bible, Christ answered a person regarding the number of times a person should forgive another like this:  "Seven times seven".    There is no end of Forgiveness of another, in other words.

Your Soul is an aspect of the same Energy as that of God, which is NSgy.  And we Souls support the I-MIND that is attached to our Souls when it uses our Spiritual Energy to "Create" a bit of Karma for us to experience.  The problem is, your I-MIND enjoys you acting out the Karma it creates for you to experience.  So, your I-MIND has no actual reason for Completing a bit of Karma.  This then makes the role of your Soul Completing a bit of Karma even more difficult.

I hope this explanation of how the Law of Karma operates and how we are involved  in the Karma, and how it must be Completed ...is somehow helpful for the reader.  That is, hopefully, the reason we need to Forgive, and Accept responsibility for the Karma is better understood.

Peace, 1 Brother James
